Description
The popularity of the farmhouse style only continues to grow and we were inspired by all of the fresh, modern takes on this classic style. Embracing both the old and new, the modern farmhouse look has a little bit for everyone, and that is what we were hoping to put in to this house. When we purchased an older home in the desirable Canyon Rim area, we knew this was the style we wanted to go with.
This house sits on over 1/3 of an acre and has a pool in the backyard. Working with the existing footprint, we designed a two-story Modern Farmhouse to replace the original house. With a main floor, upper floor and finished basement, the completed house is 3200 sq/ft with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
Other than the foundation, this house was a complete rebuild. Fully embracing the farmhouse style, this home is complete with barn doors, reclaimed wood fireplace mantel and columns, and light wood floors throughout the main level. Modern clean lines in the hardware and lighting juxtapose the rustic creating a true modern farmhouse.
The plans were done in-house by Newel Anderson and the onsite work and quality control was overseen by Russel Anderson. Interior finish choices were all made by our team.
