Is Pinterest anyone else’s go to for finding inspiration for a house project? We love the ease of finding quality images quickly and setting up a design board for a project. We used it extensively for our Canyon Rim Modern Farmhouse project and found it made our entire project accessible from anywhere. What were we thinking for hardware? Oh yes, it’s all there on the board.

For our farmhouse project, we had an inspiration board and then a final board. Once a decision had been made or items had been purchased, we put them on the final board. It helped to keep the whole design cohesive, especially when we were making quick decisions on the go.

We’ve also found it to be valuable when working with a homeowner or potential new client.  Sometimes it can be difficult for a homeowner to explain what they are looking for, but by sharing images, we can get an accurate idea of what the client envisions for their new home. We simply create a secret board to share with them and let them start pinning. It’s an incredible free tool to work with that quickly gets us all on the same page.
